I forgot to mention...Mozilla's Thunderbird email client is FREE (as is their rockin web browser FireFox).

Is it better than Apple's Mail (One OXS) ?

Redge its a user preference thing.

I've been a fan of Thunderbird since day one. Over the years I've tried every alternative to Outlook because I can't stand the thing.

I've stuck to Thunderbird though, it's definitely the most user friendly out there.

I shall be upgrading today I should think. Hopefully some nice new features.

Great release. Had been using RC2 for a long time. Enigmail has already been updated to work with 1.5 official too.

It is a great mail client and rss reader. I like the rss because you can import and export the subscriptions.

I love Thunderbird as an email client. Makes me wonder why I ever even bothered with Outlook or any of the others out there. It handles everything very efficiently. Can't wait to upgrade this when I get home!

I've been using this since pre 1.0. It is a wonderful application.

Yup.. I've been using it for a while as well. And the betas/RC too. Not too much has changed.. but still, its awesome :)

It really beats the crap out of Outlook Express ;) And a ton more secure too.
